Zakat:

Give Zakat - direct aid only

Zakat goes to people, not overhead. We pay eligible recipients (Quran 9:60): food, clothing, essential travel, urgent debts. We pay people directly, or a named creditor. Records are light: category, date, amount. No case details.

• Can zakat pay staff or rent? No - we pay people or their creditor (we also do not have paid staff).
  
  

• Privacy? No names published, no case details.
  
  

• Receipts? Yes, with category and amount.
  
  

• Stewardship? Reviewed annually with scholarly advice, anonymised summaries shared with members.

We are a grassroots legal collective and mutual aid network. All non-zakat gifts are treated as sadaqah jāriyah for casework, education and community work. Zakat is ring-fenced and paid to eligible people only. Gifts are generally not tax-deductible.
