Al-Adli is fuelled by people, not profit. We’re a grassroots collective - not a charity and definitely not the state. We don’t take money from institutions that profit from oppression. We rely on community support to keep our work independent, accountable, and radical.
We offer free legal education, support and advocacy to people facing violent systems: from protest policing and criminalisation to family court removals, housing injustice, and state surveillance. That work takes time, labour, care, and money.
We’re asking you to resource the resistance.
Every pound you give helps us:
Support people facing charges or family court intervention
Run workshops on legal rights and anti-state resistance
Write accessible legal guides, toolkits, and materials
Cover court fees, printing, phone credit, and emergency access needs
We don’t hoard cash, pay salaries, or build bureaucracy. We fund meaningful action, urgent support, and long-haul organising.
Top-down political parties
Policing or surveillance bodies
Arms manufacturers or military-linked foundations
Organisations complicit in genocide, apartheid, displacement, or incarceration
Any funders that try to water us down, co-opt our politics, or make us "respectable"
If your funding comes with strings attached - keep it. We answer to our people, not to institutions.
We use OpenCollective for full transparency.

We’re not asking for pity. We’re asking for solidarity.
This isn’t about giving to the poor. It’s about sustaining an abolitionist legal collective that’s doing the work.
If you believe in a world without cages, without family separation, without state violence - then help us build it.
