Location: Remote
Time Commitment: Flexible, approx. 2–4 hours/week
You’ll help translate key legal and educational content into community languages - from flyers to workshop slides to social media. We prioritise Arabic, Urdu, Farsi (Persian and Afghani) Somali, Bengali, Gaeilge, and Kurdish – but welcome all language skills.
• Translating outreach and case materials
• Reviewing translated content for accuracy and tone
• Making legal info culturally relevant and accessible
• Supporting multilingual outreach and solidarity events
• Advising the team on language justice practices
• Multilingual people passionate about justice and access
• Translators, interpreters, or native speakers
• Community members committed to language equity
• Anyone tired of seeing critical info only available in English
• Strong reading/writing fluency in your language(s)
• Ability to translate tone, nuance, and accessibility
• Understanding of political and legal terminology (training available)
• Flexibility and willingness to give/receive feedback
• Templates, glossaries, and review systems
• Peer editing and paid opportunities when available
• Clarity around crediting, consent, and authorship
• Community care, especially around emotionally heavy texts
